As part of the First I2U2 (India-Israel-UAE-USA) Leaders’ Virtual Summit on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part alongside Prime Minister of Israel Yair Lapid, President of the UAE Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and President of the USA Joseph R. Biden. Within the framework of I2U2, the Leaders will discuss joint projects and other areas of mutual interest to strengthen the economic partnership in trade and investment in their respective regions. As a model of economic cooperation, these projects can offer businesspeople and workers opportunities.
During the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the four countries on 18th October last year, the I2U2 Grouping was conceptualized. In addition, each country has regular interactions with Sherpa-level representatives to explore possible areas of cooperation. Water, energy, transportation, space, health, and food security are among six areas where I2U2 encourages joint investments. By mobilizing private sector capital and expertise, it aims to modernize infrastructure, develop low-carbon development pathways for the industries, improve public health, and develop innovative green technologies.
